A wide columned entrance welcomes visitors to this attractive, stone-built hotel standing in 5 acres of beautiful grounds in Stanton Saint Quintin, near the city of Bath and within the famous Cotswolds. The hotel is close to junction 17 of the M4.
The house was once owned by Lord Burghley, chief minister to Queen Elizabeth I, and was rebuilt in 1840. Stanton Manor Hotel has been completely refurbished, and the new owners, Robert and Linda Davis, are on hand to ensure that a friendly and attentive service is extended to guests.
Modern facilities and comforts combine easily and unobtrusively with those of the past, which include magnificent Tudor fireplaces and stone flooring. The hotel's en suite bedrooms are spacious and individually designed with very comfortable furniture. Four hotel rooms have king-size four-poster beds to compliment the stunning New Oriental or Provençal themed rooms.

Head chef Paul Hudson and his team take pride in creating traditional British cuisine with flair and quality. The restaurant has recently been awarded its first AA Rosette for the outstanding preparation of its food and the good quality of the ingredients it uses. It is now working hard towards its second AA Rosette.
The impressive cuisine is immaculately served in the elegant and light Gallery Restaurant, which overlooks the hotel’s grounds. The restaurant exhibits an eclectic collection of art by prominent Oriental artists. All the artwork is for sale to customers and guests.
Light snacks are available all day in the cosy, refurbished bar or lounge. The cuisine is mainly traditional European. Most ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible. There is an extensive wine and a champagne list. The proprietor, Mr Robert Davis, displays art from young Asian artists, and all paintings are for sale to support a children's orphanage and library in Vietnam.
Stanton Manor Hotel and Gallery Restaurant is adjacent to the Saint Giles Church in the village of Stanton Saint Quintin, which lies three- quarters of a mile north-west of junction 17 of the m4 motorway and just off of the a429.
